| Ordinance 2023-104, amending the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 96, Florida Building Code, Subchapter 'Building Code', by updating references to the Florida Building Code, first reading. |

| | | | | | | | Staff has submitted a request to amend the Code of Ordinances Chapter 96 Florida Building Codes. The amendment includes:
1 - Subchapter “Building Code” to update references to the State mandated 8th Edition Florida Building Codes (2023) as required by Florida Statutes and the city’s administrative amendments to the 2023 Florida Building Code2023-Building, Chapter 1, Administration as outlined in Exhibit A. and;
2 - The State mandated edition of the National Electrical Code (2020) and the section of the 2023 National Electrical Code as outlined in Exhibit B.
The attached Ordinance has been prepared for consideration.
