The City’s current contract with Ronald L. Book, P.A. for State Lobbying Services under RFP # 14-0-2008 was set to expire on January 31, 2020 and was extended through September 30, 2020, as approved by Council at the Regular Meeting held on December 5, 2019, to allow time for re-solicitation of a State lobbying firm for a one-year contract allowing for four (4) one-year renewals.
Council also voted in the affirmative to appoint one member of City Council to serve on the RFP Evaluation Team for the selection of State Lobbyist Services. The Evaluation Team will be chaired by a non-scoring Procurement Agent and will consist of three scoring members: Community & Economic Development Director Joan Junkala, Deputy City Manager Suzanne Sherman, and one member of City Council.
The Procurement Department anticipates the RFP for State Lobbyist Services to be advertised in mid July 2020 with award by Council in September 2020 and commencement of services in October 2020.
