RE:	Consideration of releasing the reimbursable grant funding allocated by the Tourism Development Council to be utilized for other priorities.


On June 7, 2018 Council authorized an Agreement between Brevard County and the City to receive and utilize $1.7 Million of tourist development tax revenue to improve, enhance, and develop the Palm Bay Nature Center and Campground project. Per the agreement, construction was to start no later than October 2019. The City was awarded a one-year extension that was approved on August 27, 2019, in an attempt to allow time to find additional funding sources for the estimated $4 Million capital improvement project. Unfortunately we have not been able to procure the additional funding required. Therefore we are requesting Council approval to release the reimbursable grant funding allocated by the Tourism Development Council (TDC) to be utilized for other priorities. Motion to

authorize release of the 1.7 million reimbursable grant funding allocated by the Tourism Development Council to be utilized for other priorities.
